2025 Lariat AWD Hybrid took possession early Feb ‘25, drove for a month (500+mi), went on planned vacation and 10 days later received “Battery Saver Mode” via Ford Pass. As soon as I get back home I am calling Litchfield Ford for a tow. Let Ford pay for the known defects and resistance to remedy!

Why would you think something called Battery Saver Mode would cause a problem on starting it?

How is that a defect?

Do you still wish that vehicles would leave dome lights on if you accidentally left it on or a door didn't close completely, so the battery could drain enough not to start?

The point is this is a NEW vehicle and Ford suggestion to “drive it more” is not acceptable. I have had vehicles with more potentially battery draining options and never had this type of problem. Ford “cheaped out” on inadequate flooded battery and now is throwing it back on customer. The truck was OFF, OFF….OFF!

The perfectly-fine but now badly-damaged battery is not the cause of the problem. Its the faulty BMS software that never allows it to charge properly. Supposedly the software fix is coming by the end of March. It is not clear why Ford has taken almost 4 years to fix a critical software issue that is costing them a fortune in good will, lost Customers and replacement batteries.

I wouldn’t bet on a fix that soon. Ford should dump the Yokels who decided to play this game with customers. I’ve had many comments on the good looks of the Mav but when I tell them about the “drive it more” the reaction is always - OH…

After so many days of not driving the truck, it puts itself into battery saver mode. This is a feature, designed to save your battery from being completely drained.
There are plenty of 90s OBS Chevy and Fords that OP could buy and wouldn't have to worry about battery save mode.

2025's have an AGM battery.
