The factory battery on both the ecoboost and the hybrid is a t4. An h4 is the same size except a bit taller. Anything bigger requires mods. A t5 needs a modified baseplate, for example.
That's incorrect. Never and still is not the same size between drivetrains.
My statement was correct for what I was replying to.

2025 is BAGM H4.
The T4 and H4 battery have the same footprint. The H4 is slightly taller, and that's all. It will work.
Starting in 2025 the put an AGM battery into both the EcoBoost and the Hybrid models from the factory. The replacement batteries for all earlier years was also switched to the same AGM battery, finally matching the setting in the configuration table. A T5 or H5 or larger will not fit without modifying the tray on both models, and also cutting the plastic parts on the Hybrid.

Since the real problem is not the battery size, but the misprogrammed BMS software, putting in a bigger battery will have no impact on the problem.

Yes they do have the same footprint.

But I gave info directly from the manual - might read those model numbers again.

NOT the same battery size between the hybrid and EB.

For explanation - I replied to a post by a hybrid driver (I see the status info not everyone sees or notices), saying they'd get the AGM battery size that was posted by an EB driver. H6.

The hybrid driver already has a bigger battery H5 than spec T4/H4 - I was merely pointing out the one shown by the EB driver H6 would have been WAY bigger yet again than his current H5.

And the fact about different sized batteries - I wanted it clear for others that might pop in and read those posts - and not see the difference between EB and hybrid in the status info - and start a whole confusing thread about sizes and what is shown online, ect.
But we reached that point anyway.
