If you’re looking for a cheaper option, Maxzina will ship these straight to your door:

I have some of these and they work fine, but I think the baskets are probably a decent step up so I plan on printing them. Here's what it looked like under my hood this morning, I wasn't paying close attention but think those couple of leaves that got to the other side of the protectors probably fell in there when I lifted the hood.

Even with the pictures. I cannot figure out where they go.
Pictures pulled back a little more context would help me with orientation.
Here's a full frontal view, look for the small rubber flap that Ford put in at each end of the plastic channel that runs along the bottom of the window. The Mabett protectors (yellow arrows) install at each end of the plastic channel over the rubber flaps and fit fairly snug into the channel, so not much besides water can get past them. The baskets go outside of the plastic channel, part way down into the fender.

I do think both cowl products/solutions could greatly reduce debris collecting in area #1. I recently removed all the splash guards and cleaned behind the wheel liners. #1 had lots of leaves and moisture from the cowl. I do use a leaf blower on the cowl and engine bay regularly. You can also open the front doors and check for debris behind the foam.

For #2 (both sides) and #3 (driver's side), I don't recommend any extra covers that would obstruct air flow. The areas get sand, mud and salt but can be sprayed out and air dried, unlike #1.

If you're planning to clean out #1 (and I do recommend it) you may want to add PPF to protect the paint from the splash guards. I was warned on MTC, but didn't originally use PPF. 2 of 4 OEM splash guards were digging into the paint before I added PPF.

Maxzina has virtually the same product for sale now, but no one offer the baskets that I know of. I think if you're proactive enough and vacumn that cowl area after leaves have piled in, that should be enough. (Do it before you open the hood, Maybe only need to remove a few by hand.) I would think the baskets allow you to be less diligent but you still need to be watchful especially during leaf season. All else fails, you can still open the wheel liner.
