Hopefully, my "mistake" will save a few people. Don't buy / use the spray bottle of Zep Purple degreaser. It's ready-to-use, which means that it is not strong enough to work. I have soaked it for 2 days and I still have some chrome on there. Going to get the 1 gallon, which is concentrated.

Thank you. I haven't seen anyone mention the did this on their lariat. I might have a new project coming up.
Hey was wondering if you ever did this on your Lariat lights, and if you did, does the same process work without messing with the LED strip?

Hey was wondering if you ever did this on your Lariat lights, and if you did, does the same process work without messing with the LED strip?
Unfortunately, I didn't get around to it. It's still in the back of my mind though lol.

ZEP won't effect the light pipe. Simply remove the LED module like you would any other bulb.

ZEP won't effect the light pipe. Simply remove the LED module like you would any other bulb.

Appreciate the feedback! Did you black yours out? Seems like replacing with LED bulbs is the move; but looks like you need to wire a resistor to prevent hyper flashing.
