BAP Black Appearance Package Details / Content?

I don't know why they didn't black out the roof like they did with the FE (or the way @vezpa did his white one) that would look good on any color other than black.

From Ford's website..clarifies that Lariat models retain body color door handles.

The high-res photo on website appears to show glossy black mirror caps, indicating it will receive painted caps, not just black textured plastic like standard models.

We don't really know if the seat apholstry will be identical to the XL.... we just have to wait until someone takes delivery of one I guess.... My guess (and it's a guess) is the seat material will be like an XLT equipped Tremor package... without the stiching and logo.. but that's just a guess..

I agree, and I hope we're correct.

Where does this myth keep coming from?

XL seats are black and gray. They're not even flat black, thus not suitable for BAP. They're also a cheaper cloth.

BAP/Tremor does not change the seat material that is included with a given trim. BAP only replaces them with a flat black finish.

XLT BAP/Tremor seats are XLT cloth, in black.

Lariat BAP/Tremor seats are Active-X, in black.

thx for pointing that out. Originally no one was quite sure abt the handle color. I was
hoping it wasn’t black. Body color handles suggests fancier than black and one reason I chose lariat. Also wasn’t too keen abt desert brown seats.

I agree with Joe and am not keen on the desert brown seats. If it comes, I have a silver Lariat ordered and I'm thinking the brown just wouldn't look good. Mostly black interior with black wheels and trim should hopefully look great with silver. If!!!!! it comes.

Except that those pictures aren't accurate... becuase the 'xlt' one shows the xl back seat without the center pull down armrest....

again.. we won't know... some of the photos clearly show the mix of black and navy pier plastics... some make it look all black.

very inconsistent.. we won't know until we see it in person for an XLT and a Lariat.

Yeah it's pretty terrible of Ford that they can't provide such simple information/pics. It's not the only blunder that I've experienced being a Ford customer for 14 months...several other things as well. I wish there were other pickup options in the same price range as the Maverick... I'd be long gone!

My 22 was a cactus gray but with the roll over I thought the Alto Blue looks awesome with the BAP. So went with that. Hopefully it arrives as scheduled on Jan 23. Fingers crossed

I would have bought a standard XLT last year if it wasn't for the hideous blue jean interior.
