BAK Revolver X4S fitment issues

I have looked around, but I haven't found anything on this specific issue.

I just got my 22 Hybrid Lariat Lux this weekend. I had pre-ordered an X4S, but I have had fitment issues. When I push the rails all the way forward to the front of the bed, the tailgate seal has about 1/4" gap between the cover and the actual tailgate. I tried to slide the cover forward in the slots on the mounting rails, but then the slam latch won't engage properly.

I called BAK, and they said that my rails are too short, and sent me new ones, however the new rails are the exact same length as the old rails. Water is just going to be channeled into the bed during rain without any seal between the cover and the tailgate.

My best idea for a fix is to create a spacer block that mounts to the rails which would push them back on the bed, allowing me to mount the cover closer to the tailgate. Does anyone else have any experience with this, or other fix ideas?

I had a similar issue. I put a piece of foam on the cab end of the rail, to get the rail closer to the tailgate. The cab end of the rail was still ahead of the bed opening. Probably could just pull it back when you clamp it, but have foam from a previous cover, so used that.

Looks like the height of the cover at the tailgate is ok. Mine was not. My rails had some foam spacers on them. They were near the top edge of the rail, had to move them to the bottom edge.

I ended up 3d printing a spacer block, which I affixed to the inside of the bed with double sided tape. It's 8mm thick, plus the extra width of the tape, which seems to have done the trick.

Does anyone know if BAK people have addressed this issue? An obvious failure on fit.

I haven't received any updates from them about a fix. My spacer block is still in use. Not ideal, but other than that I love the cover.

I believe this is the video he's referring to.

It just basically says "move the rails 1/4" towards the tailgate" which is the same thing my spacer does, except the bracing against the bed is hanging in free air. Probably not a big deal. But BAK should really fix this.

For the amount of money they're charging for the Bakflip Revolver cover you'd think it would be fixed by now. I've been searching for a hard tri fold cover since my Maverick will be here in a few weeks. I'm leaning towards the Rough Country at the moment. Anyone else have any issues with that one?
