I believe this is the video he's referring to.
It just basically says "move the rails 1/4" towards the tailgate" which is the same thing my spacer does, except the bracing against the bed is hanging in free air. Probably not a big deal. But BAK should really fix this.

I ended up 3d printing a spacer block, which I affixed to the inside of the bed with double sided tape. It's 8mm thick, plus the extra width of the tape, which seems to have done the trick.
I have looked around, but I haven't found anything on this specific issue.
