So, took it out for a drive in the cold/snow. My wife and I got back and had to park it while I went to shovel out my driveway entrance. Plow had come by when we were away. Anyways noticed a strong smell sulfur fish rotten eggs you name it as it sat on/parked with e brake on. Drove it into my yard and parked. Turned it off and smell disappeared. It was strong for a min or so however. Smelt like burning and gross.

I think take it for another quick trip to see it I get the smell again. Noticed nothing. However, with the engine warm. I turned it on ... Electric only for a bit. And it was making this awful noise from the engine area like a rattle/tick.

Just tried it again, engine got warm up my Hill to my house. Turn it off.. then turn it on to electric only. And you get this rattle while it sits. Fans on etc. Cold snowy night.

For this noise it was in park. Don't think I had it in reverse on the hill. Remember having the brake on and I jumped out to shovel snow. Thought I put it in park but maybe not

These symptoms sound really similar to the guys having problems with the fordpass remote start.
Ya I agree... The smell and first park seem very similar. I just don't understand what this noise could be. Vehicle is technically on..but this doesn't sound electric switching to me just sounds like something lose almost. It sounds bad to me but idk

Yea I agree, does the idle feel rough? any unusual vibrations coming from the engine bay? In either case if you are able to repeat this, get it to the dealer asap so they can take a look.

Going to contact them tomorrow. Have some errands to run and it's suppose to be -16 so I bet I'll be able to replicate it.

Did you have the same problem today? I’d had a very concerning issue happen this morning. This thread is exactly what I experienced: https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/hybrid-rough-idle-video.8699/page-2#post-184293
I haven't had any surging. I am thinking the bad smell was from it working hard for the first time really. Long stretch of hill covered with slippery snow. Haven't had any issues today -10. The engine noise I noticed before.. Was a slight rattle today when I shut it off. Almost like the block heater on my tractor when it's crackling from ice cold coolant/cast engine block being heated. Only hear it when I turned it back on quiet/electric . After it's been ran for a bit. However truck wasn't as hot or was it as cold out. Could barely notice any noise. I haven't had any problems starting from cold. Even tried the auto start in the ice cold last night. Nothing. My thoughts is that my noise is related to the converter/manifold up front. When it's hot and in electric mode it must not handle the cold. -15 or less. Usually if the vehicle isn't warm it just jumps right into running the gas engine. Without the heat for the converter my guess is that it let's off some off rattlles. Idk.

Going to keep an eye on it and stop into my dealer when I run into town. May discuss with a tech to see what noises are actually normal.
