Does anyone have pictures or website reference of how they use their backseat for work? I clean pools for a living and do light repairs. I have a couple of packout totes in the backseat with various items in them. But curious how others use their backseat if carrying tool boxes and similar items.

I use my backseat for passengers while on job 2, which is Rideshare. Thanks to a set of Mabett covers, they always are easy to clean, and passengers think they are leather.

I really like my cheap budget dog hammock that I got on amazon. I can throw groceries and other Items in the back seat and I never have to worry about items falling off the seat and rolling under the front seats. I really can't say enough about it. I have 4knines seat covers on all my seats. For the back seat I placed a thin wood board on top of the seat underneath my pack out tool boxes to keep the wheels from deforming the seat cushion due to the constant weight.

I second Maverick OCD's dog cover. What I like is that it forms a "U" because it attaches to the front headrests. This means stuff doesn't fall down plus creates space in the footwell for tools etc.

I purchased a simple one on Amazon for $39. I put tool boxes, power tools etc. on it since I don't have a bed cover to protect from theft. I do not use my rear seat for passengers so it stays on permanently.

This thread makes me wonder out loud. Maybe we should email the idea to WeatherTech to have a backseat shelf mat. They could do that custom fitted for all models of trucks and probably make money on it.

It seems like a product waiting for somebody's light bulb to light.

I can not speak for this one but this is kinda similar to what you are talking about and it says the hard bottom holds 400 pounds. I think you are right. WeatherTech should take this idea and maybe beef it up a bit and it would be a good product.

I can take some pics later but I do mobile auto repair & fleet maintenance so the tools I use daily are under my seat & auto lockout kits are behind the top part of the back seat.

i took my back seat out, used a piece of 2 foot by 4 foot board, some hinges and voila
