I have a 2023 XLT. When in reverse there is no warning alarm. Can I get one installed? If so, for how much?

Tons of them on Amazon. What complications if any with Ford's electronics, unknown.

Put one on my motorhome years back, it was so damn loud I had to wrap it in duct tape.

The hybrid, at least, is supposed to have one. Take it to your dealer and have them fix it under warranty. Not sure about the EcoBoost models...

Your hybrid should already have a
back-up warning alarm
It should sound like this.
Recorded from my Maverick hybrid.

That's not what I meant. I have that one. I was referring to a warning alarm when there is movement detected from an approaching vehicle or pedestrian.
Thanks for the reply.

Got it.
You want, bumper mounted motion sensors, that active when you are backing up. And give an audible warning that something is behind your truck.
Here you go.
Good luck.
here is a 4-sensor system

Here is an 8-sensor system.

Or you can go High End with
Rostra Sensors

Rear cross traffic alert catches vehicles and chimes - but not sure it does pedestrians. Need CoPilot 360 option. That would get you blind spot monitoring and lane keep assist also. Hard to add after the fact, though.

While I have an OEM backup camera and CoPilot 360 with cross-traffic warnings, I don’t have an audible alert once my rear distance approaches the red zone while backing up.

Had a close call when I first got the truck, but it took me by surprise there was no accompanying chime or beep like I had in my Outback.

Anyone know if that can be added short of having gotten CoPilot 360+?

I honestly blame Ford for being bleeping cheap for not offering the reverse sensing as an option for the XLT. It was a damn fleet option for anything less than a retail Lariat! And that ticks me off. The original Luxury Package, remove the darn bed liner and add the reverse sending. Now I gotta eventually get a Rostra system and drill them in or have a professional shop do it so the sensors all look symmetrical.

Ford used to offer the system on basically EVERYTHING for $295. Heck, make it an option on the XLT for $350. I would have GLADLY paid that.

That is your cross traffic alert.
Ford Co-Pilot360 includes standard automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind spot information system, lane keeping system, rear backup camera with cross traffic alert and auto high beam lighting.

One reason I sold my XLT was lack of the rear backup sensors. Only the Lariat had them. My old 2012 Volt had them front and rear so having them just in the rear is so cheap of Ford. Better than nothing but just.
I was told that it would be difficult to integrate the factory system parts to an XLT. Certainly beyond the dealer's capabilities. Mine can't even do an oil change properly.
