You could say the AWD badge is showroom advertising, and it is, but AWD/4WD visibility has the practical benefit of typically get you around the chain up line in snow country, provided you also have tires installed that have the logo of the Three Peak Mountain Snowflake on them ( 3PMSF ).

You may still be asked if you have auxiliary traction devices (like chains) but you seldom (ever?) have to put them on unless the road conditions are so bad you really shouldn't be driving anyway.

I've always been a de-badger besides the brand emblems; there's no possible situation where anyone cares if your car has AWD, if it's a diesel, gas, or hybrid drivetrain, and how many cylinders it has. No one even cares what model it is if that's a badge.

Obviously "someone" cares or the badges would never be sold, but they are.
One of those someone's could be a guy deciding if your car needs chains.

Agree but I like the custom look and color. I did it for appearance only. It provides a little contrast to the Carbon Grey. Painted the Brake Calipers same Burgandy color too. From the day I bought it wanted to create a unique looking Mav!

I took off the bright cheesy OEM/Chrome badge that came on the 2022/FX4s- Would not mind an orange tremor type AWD badge/decal to blend with the Cactus Grey color -

🤓 🤔 you might go to Etsy.com. Look for TechSigns. A gentleman there had told me that they did custom stuff. The gentleman’s name was Ed.
