If that is autohold, when what is the button the left of that? With the letter A?

Probably same guy that said, why would I want a power window when I can just turn this crank to roll up my window.
Not disagreeing, just want to add, a window crank actually works better when your window is frozen than using a power window. I can't tell you how many times I wish I had a crank when pulling up to a drive-thru bank or mail drop off and cannot open my window because it is frozen. Instead I have to drive forward and unbuckle my seatbelt and open the door, to complete my transaction. A crank would 9 times out of 10 allow me to force my window open.

That would be a sign that I'm in the wrong climate.

Yes, the frozen north. We are a special lot.
I am still getting used to the electric windows and not convinced why they are better. I had to run a power cord through the window into the truck to leave a small heater running so that my new window tint would not freeze. With the crank you just roll till the glass is snug against the cord. This was not possible with the E windows...I had to leave the window open more than I wanted.

Or when the lump a snow falls on the switches when you open the door...well the old crank didn't care, we'll see about the electronics.
Anyway all is good... just having some fun. Going out for a drive now along the scenic Cabot Trail in my beautiful new Maverick...wont be using the Auto Hold though.

I'm glad you are enjoying your ride. Looks like I'll have to wait for mine in spring or beyond.

I have this feature on my current vehicle and yes, the brake lights stay on as if my foot is on the brake. I would think that would be the case for the Maverick (don’t have mine yet) or any vehicle that has this feature to keep you from being hit.

You need to go back and reread my comment. Much more carefully. Your reply isn't remotely representative of what I said. Is it safe to say that you don't have hands on experience with Auto Hold? I believe so. Since you have no experience with the feature you are not qualified to say it isn't convenient, imply that it isn't convenient, or even question its convenience or existence at all.

Okay now, it is a great convenience. It is just plain nice to come to a stop, take your foot of off the brake (like at a long stop light), and just sit there relaxed. When you wish to proceed just press on the gas.

Good old fashion cruise control just holds your speed for you going down the highway. You can easily do this yourself. You don't need cruise control. But man, is cruise control convenient. It is nice. And adaptive cruise control just up the game and makes it more so. It's the little things that make life grand.

But for you Caper, I suggest never, never, ever turn Auto Hold on. I don't think you'll like it. There are some of you out there that won't. That's okay.
I love it. I've always had a habit of pushing the brake pedal harder than necessary when in traffic and it's taxing on my old, arthritis foot and ankle.

I've used the hill hold too, on another truck of ours, and really liked it. When we were pulling our camper and had to stop on a hill, the hill hold would hold us until the engine had spooled up enough to move the heavy truck/trailer combo forward.

Haa! Or when you don't have a master window lock button on the drivers door and your dog keeps stepping on the window buttons, rolling the windows down.

A fist full of tail is only way to keep him from jumping out.:ROFLMAO:
