Man I wish I had a jailbroken one. I need to watch football on it. Is it easy to jailbreak one?

have you seen the 3 inch cables? Would be perfect for me and where my phone mount is.

The 6" are perfect, not sure on 3". Need to be on iOS 14.8 or older to jailbreak, depending on iPhone model. I use an old netbook with Linux, only takes a few minutes. There's other methods including if you have a Mac.

No. Linux or Mac.

Edit: I've read you can boot Linux with a flashdrive to do it. I never have.

The hard reset didn't work, but it did make me curious that Carplay seemed to be missing from the truck now. I fished about and found another page of settings (sometimes when and where to swipe is not obvious). Somehow carplay had been turned off. I have no idea how.

It's working now.

Consider getting yourself a wireless CarPlay adapter too. Saves the wear and tear on the phone connector. Apple's connectors have always been poor quality in my opinion. More expensive wireless CarPlay adapters aren't always better. I originally purchased one that was twice the price, but it wouldn't connect reliably to my new 13 Pro. Here's what I have.

Yep this was super easy to install! It just wants to connect when your stopped and the car is off! Just have to turn off Bluetooth temporarily.
