I want to try some lower profile tires, on 17" times-

Even though it's not a popular choice, any comments???

Maverick wheels already look a bit undersized for its body.
Going even smaller will look bad.
Not to mention your speedo and gear ratios will all be thrown way off.

everything is exaggerated by going down 3 sizes (65 sidewall to 50).

Cool...

Thanks for posting the tire size calculator-

I'm planning on installing a silvers coilover kit, eventually...
even with a short tire, there are better choices. 245/50-17 as one example.

I'm planning on using bronco sport rims, 17x7.

Will 245's be too wide?
Other have done it, but your fuel economy will suffer by about 2mpg.

Here's a list of recommended sizes:

in terms of overall performance:
225/65/17 (OEM)
235/65/17 (also an OEM size)
235/70/17
245/65/17

in terms of looks:
245/65/17
235/70/17
235/65/17
225/65/17 (OEM)
