Looking at moving from Stock Steelie 17's to aftermarket 18's and trying to keep factory circumference similar. I notice guys going 225/60/18 or 235/60/18. While the 225/60/18 is the closest to the factory 225/65/17, I also want to run a 8.5 inch wheel and wouldn't mind 235's for some extra width. (Its unclear if 225/60 is recommended for wider than 8")

Here are differences, roughly 0.6" taller if you run the 60's vs 0.3" shorter if you run the 55's. I am not big on wheel and wheel well gap and I do plan on a conservative lowering kit with this combo. I am not even sure if the 0.3" shorter would be noticeable at factory ride height. If anyone has images of these on a Maverick I would love to see it.

I never considered the 235/55/18, but once my 2023 arrives I was planning to run 245/55/18 on the factory BAP wheels. With the hopefully soon to be coming eibach lowering kit, 2.2" front and 2.9" rear.

The stock wheels already look too small.

I'd personally go 235/60/18 on a hybrid, or 245/60/18 on ecoboost.

you need 245/55 or 255/55. I am thinking of going to an 18x8.5 with 255/55's with pilot sport suv tires for autoX next year.. if i can get it low enough.
