Looking at moving from Stock Steelie 17's to aftermarket 18's and trying to keep factory circumference similar. I notice guys going 225/60/18 or 235/60/18. While the 225/60/18 is the closest to the factory 225/65/17, I also want to run a 8.5 inch wheel and wouldn't mind 235's for some extra width. (Its unclear if 225/60 is recommended for wider than 8")
Here are differences, roughly 0.6" taller if you run the 60's vs 0.3" shorter if you run the 55's. I am not big on wheel and wheel well gap and I do plan on a conservative lowering kit with this combo. I am not even sure if the 0.3" shorter would be noticeable at factory ride height. If anyone has images of these on a Maverick I would love to see it.
