Not really reconsidering, but my Honda Element is the perfect vehicle for me...but has 160,000 miles on it....i'd drop the Maverick instantly if a new Element came out...What I will miss from the Element is the ability to "pop" out the rear seats in 10 minutes max converting it in to a van, AWD get the Element almost anywhere. Lot more room inside than the Maverick....may just keep the Honda Element and get the Maverick for gas savings.

No way! This is as close to perfect as I might find. A small, yet useable bed, good price, four doors, no leather seats to stick and burn in the desert heat, Hybrid technology without the "plug", and I can flat two it behind the motorhome. It's a Win Win for me and I can't wait, although I am willing to. Good day everyone!

The new Corolla's get 52 miles to the gallon. That's a lot of miles. But I just have to remind myself of what modern sedan trunks are like and no, that's not really ideal.

I am keeping my options open however, and trying not to get too invested in the Maverick. I don't have a vehicle I can drive forever waiting for delivery, so at some point I may have to abandon the Maverick and get some hybrid crossover or something whether I want to or not.

Had a Toyota Corolla FX. That may have been the only car I have ever made actual money off of depreciation. It would not die and was cheap to operate.

I gave up on the Maverick and bought a new Silverado 1500 Duramax. I'll still have the option to buy it when it is delivered. Initially I was going to keep my 2010 Silverado and use the Maverick for commuting back and forth between Colorado and Arizona. I get the same mileage as I would have in the Maverick and now I have 460 ft lb of torque at just above idle.

Same.

I grabbed a used Colorado "Minimax" (the 4cyl diesel) this past fall. It doesn't have as much torque as the Big Duramax -- just 370 ft lb -- but very happy with the little diesels consistent 30+ MPG on our long haul road trips. And real towing #s. Prices started to go crazy on my trade-in (Jeep Wrangler) so I didn't want to pass on $$$.

Mav should be delivered EOM. I've been standing in line since July 14th. :coffee:

Now a friend wants to buy our other car, so I'll probably end up buying the Mav for around town / errand runs. I ordered a Hybrid and folks are saying the Hybrid beats sticker in-town MPGs. The diesel sucks in-town, but shines on long hauls; and vice versa for the Hybrid.

I love the idea of the Maverick, but I'm starting to think it might be too small, especially for the price of a Lariat 2.0 FX4.
No, my family of 5 have no problem in it. Got me through a rough Ohio winter, and it gets decent gas mileage.

Yesterday was the first time I saw one, and sat in it at the dealership. It was an XL - nothing added except EcoBoost. It was on the lot because the dealer had added a "market price adjustment" of $8,000. Since I ordered last August, but hadn't seen one, I was concerned about it being too small. I was surprised that it's not. It looks like a reasonably sized truck, the bed looked larger than I expected. The interior was very comfortable in front. My son and I both sat in it. We're both 6'1". He's a big guy, football player size. We were both comfortable in the car. I didn't try the back seat. I'd say it looked tight with the front seats set for us. Overall, I'm very excited about getting mine after actually seeing one.

I won't necessarily cancel, but with the constraints and constant miscommunication of Ford, if I haven't heard anything by the end of the year, then I might get a Ranger.

I regret trading in my 2020 1500 with the duramax. Such a smooth and powerful power train. GM is way better at programming that 10 speed than Ford. I was getting a solid 28mpg combined even with 4x4. The hybrid maverick is much cheaper to own and operate overall though.

Yup
Because my bronco is in limbo. Don’t know how long I will have the Maverick. I am a little worried that the 2.0 is going to be slow. The Maverick is probably just going to be a place holder until the bronco comes 😒
Did you find the 2.0T slow as feared?

If I can find an EV6/Ioniq 5, I can throw on a factory trailer hitch and it would basically tick all of my boxes between the Mach-E and the Mav. But at this rate, the earliest I can expect to get one is same time next year.

I tried getting my name down for some demo units that were kicking around town, but it's a hellscape of ADM and "we know what we got."
