I am waiting for job 2 to order my Lariat Mav and was planning on going with McArthur Ford just because they seem like they know what they are doing.
However, they are so far away and I'd either have to fly there and drive home or pay around 1500 - 2000 to have it shipped here. I'd rather just get it locally if possible.

Does anyone live in the Tampa, FL area that is ordering a 25' (either job 1 or job 2) mav? I want a dealer that will only charge MSRP and the dealers in my neighborhood are adding on fees, markups and/or market adjustments.

Hi @PortsClinton, If you can review their You Tube messages, they will wave the $1500 - $2000 to have it shipped to your doorstep. you must agree to some terms which should be fine. Hope this helps!

Hi Autus,

Yes they do help with 1,000 of the cost if you finance with them, but it will cost more than that to ship it here. so just trying to save a few bucks and make it a bit easier. I just may go with Long McArthur though.

Hi @PortisClinton, have you checked already with Mullinax Apopka (their HQ)? It's closer to the Tampa area, offers no dealers' fees when ordering with them and also have a large production allocation/sales of Mavericks, which is a major item when deciding which dealer to go with. Hope this helps!

I'm surprised that there are ANY dealers in FL that charge NO fees to buy a vehicle from them. If there truly are no fees, than they must be charging over MSRP. And even if they do waive the "dealer fee," what about mandatory protection plans, electronic registration fees, VIN etching, etc...?

When I was looking for a 2024 XLT before, I noticed that a dealer in Arlington, TX had dealer fees of about $130. The local dealer said it would be about $1,500 to ship the XLT here from Texas. Even though Mullinax in Orlando has no dealer fees, check their price which is above the MSRP. What gets me is the dealer junk added and along with the other BS?

Yeah Parks Ford in Wesley Chapel wouldn't sell me a Maverick if I didn't also purchase their Parks plus package, paint protection, vin etching and nitrogen in tires crap just a legal way to mark up the price by 2k. I walked because they were forcing me to purchase their "optional" add ons. Then they sent me an email asking me how the service was, lol.

Anyone tried Brandon Ford in Brandon? Pretty big dealership which sell a lot of trucks. Brandon is close to Tampa.

There is this thing called re-invoicing. You place your order and get an invoice when you do. If the vehicle comes in a year later, and prices have changed, Mullinax will try to re-invoice it at the current, increased prices. They will also try to add BS stuff. If you are persistent and show them you know what you are talking about, you can get through the BS. They will try to frustrate you into spending more money.

I bought mine at Mullinax Apopka and had a relatively decent experience. Mine took 18 months to come in, but it's because I ordered at the peak early on. Now there probably isn't much of a waiting game. I ended up getting the 2022 Rollover credit, X-Plan Pricing, and the Student Discount so I paid $4500 BELOW MSRP at a time they were getting marked up $5000.

My only gripe was with my salesman. I always had to be the one to reach out for an update. I also ended up paying about $400 more than I wanted because I read about a price increase for the Lux Package and emailed him a couple days before about adding it before it went up. He said he hadn't heard anything about it and would get back to me on Monday. Of course, by then the price went up and he said there was nothing he could do at that point.
