Anyone know why we are all getting pushed back?

Not trying to pile on. But removing features in hopes of getting your vehicle is a crap shoot. In another thread members with items you removed, ordering after you also have build dates.

Its one reason I removed nothing, although I'm now waiting on a 2023.
hahahaha.....Oh I was a mid October 2021 order.
Can I get my hybrid engine installed at the dealer? I mean it can run just on the 2.5 engine, right? (sarcasm font please)

I have two 2022 orders, both ordered in January less than a week apart. The results:

-Order #1, CP360, Luxury Package, FX4, rubber floor mats, built and on the train as we speak.

-Order #2, FX4 and 4k Tow, pushed back three times, currently scheduled for 10/31.

My belief is that it is the 4k Tow on the EBs that is causing the delays. Of course I have no evidence, just a feeling based on posts here and the current recall on 4k Tow.

Family Friend who works at the Ford Plant in Hermosillo told me today that Mavs are being built like 'hot bread'.

Hoping everyones orders get finalized that way I can get my VIN for MY23 and track my build very very closely.

Does your friend have any insight as to what the proportion of hybrid versus EB makes are lately?

That's amazing, best news I have heard in awhile. Make sure you keep in contact with them. Maybe send a beer bouquet down there every so often.

Unfortunately, he did not mention that, but that is a question I would love to ask him when I get to chat with him again. Will update if I get a good answer.

Every time he comes up to visit I take him out for food and drinks lol He will be visiting in the next few weeks so I will surely try and get something crucial info out of him. 🤞

I not really pleased with my MY22 production date pushed back for the fifth time (now Nov 14), but I wish Ford, for once, would just tell me the F-ing truth about when or if my VIN assigned Maverick will be built.

There are probably at least 2 dozen suppliers who are helicoptering or emergency airliner freighting parts all over the globe, just to make sure Ford can build to schedule.

Production schedules are put together based on supplier promises to deliver. Promises that can only be fulfilled if 100 different things align perfectly.

The supply chain is INSANE right now.

And unfortunately, the lower profit Maverick takes a back seat to F-series needs.

Anecdotally what I’ve noticed in past weeks is hybrids being pushed back and Eco-boosts moved up. That combine with the recent announcement that the hybrid engine is one of two constraints called out for 2023 scheduling suggests Ford can’t get one of the key components for the hybrid powertrain. That is not to say there aren’t other issues out there delaying some builds, but the hybrid seem to be the biggest problems. Ford just can’t build them.

Ford is also getting close to a breaking point. They can’t push back much further without delaying start of the 2023 production. Next week will be interesting to see whether they do schedule 2023’s and if so what weeks they slot into. I’d also be shocked if any hybrid 2023’s we scheduled.
Last night my Ecoboost build got pushed back two weeks, from 10/31 to 11/14. Now, Ford could always move it up again, and likely will next week (the projected build week seems to change every week) but definitely not ONLY hybrids being impacted. I suspect perhaps the 4K Tow package? My order details are in my signature below.
