Did you install these yet? How are they holding up ?
I decided to not get them installed at the dealer or get them at all. Upon further research, the dealer has a place 40 minutes away do the install and I wanted the truck sooner due to the travel I had coming up. I am ok with not having them after realizing how quick the truck warms up on a cold morning. I normally remote start it for 5 minutes and its warmed up by the time I get in and going.

Unfortunately Ford is hit or miss with factory wiring for heated seats. Some F150s have been known to come with all the wiring and just needed the heater controls with seat buttons and control module, other Fords have required all the wiring in addition to the pads and heater controls with seat controls. Just going to have to wait for someone to do the research of digging into their Maverick that doesn't have factory heated seats to see if the wiring is there. nobody has yet.

Only thing I care about is some good pads that don’t set the truck on fire lol.

I can wire the rest. Thinking it’s 12V relay that will be controlled from an external switch (prob just buy the factoryswitches for that factory look)

beefy gauge wire given the high current.

I've done the cheap chinese ebay kits before, a long time ago and they actually worked better than factory units, got much warmer much faster and my car never burned down. Super easy to install with an 84601 4 pin relay running off a switched accessory. All of my vehicles since have had heated seats so I haven't installed one in a long time but if the Maverick XL was my primary transportation I would do it again no problem.

$299 is steep but if you don’t have to do anything I guess it’s worth jt
I just got my heated seat kit for $50 and I’ll be installing it soon
I wonder if you can add a heated steering wheel and how much that would be?

From what I've seen and assuming that the wiring harness is equipped to run power from the heater controls to the steering wheel and you do all the work yourself:

Used Escape steering wheel (Heated) $250
New Escape clockspring $200
Used HVAC controls with heated steering wheel switch $100
Forscan Cable $30-50
Forscan 1 yr sub $10

In other words, a lot of money just to add a heated steering wheel.

After all said and done I am still saving $2k from not getting the XLT Luxury package so I don't mind. I'm also spending $600 for the Line-X which isnt that bad. Getting more info today but they told me the truck is mine and sent over the paperwork.
Plus the upside to having the dealer do it ,if there is a problem it becomes THEIR problem:) .Some computer board or something goes out within your warranty .They could figure out away to blame it on the after-market heated seats you installed ..... probably wouldn't happen ? but it could? I am very hesitant to screw with anything to do with electronics in a new vehicle .Number 1 because I dont know what I am doing .And #2 read above:)

What could possibly be the point to adding junk yard parts to a brand new vehicle? I get the fact that some guys actually know how to do this stuff and have fun making it work. It is beyond my scope of ability . And I would not want to be the guy that has a used Escape Steering wheel installed in a new truck if lets just say a 2000.00 chip board goes out? My thought is It is a $25,000 to $32000 truck put on it what you want when u order it. Edit: And I get the constraint list and wanting to get a truck! Here is my thoughts in the 4 months I have been waiting ,that constraint list is a merry-go -round of ever changing items :) you pull off the bed liner ,next week it is the mud flaps! pull off the mud flaps 2 weeks later there ok ,and it is the lux package .YOU JUST DONT KNOW :) Your treating yourself to a new vehicle ! Order it the way you want it! Anything that you can get done in the aftermarket IE : liners ,covers, flaps , wind deflectors , stick on enhancements .LEAVE off .

Katskin is $1500 for the leather and $1500 for the heated/cooled add on so about $3k total.
Where are you getting your information from? Ive gotten two quotes this week for full install. 2200 and 2500 CAD… so stateside you can easily do it for 1500 from everything ive heard

Same, the lumbar is sorely needed.

Also has considered waiting until I do leather seats cuz I heard Katzkin can do them all at the same time
They can. I’m getting it done when my truck comes. Bonus is if you get your dealer to organize it properly it can be done for you before you pick up your vehicle. So you dont have 2 days of down time. I saw the guy who replied to you with a 3k dollar figure. I dunno what hes talking about. Even in canada our katzkin installs including labor are 2500 or less…. So 1500 american basically. Which is acurate according to videos and reviews ive checked out
