I see a lot of people on here who are planning to (or hoping to) sell their Maverick for above MSRP. Has anyone actually done this? Tell us about it.

Out of curiosity, I submitted quote requests last month to Carvana and somewhere else I can't remember.

Response in both cases was "We are unable to give you an automated buy number right now, someone will follow up with you in 24-48 hours". Never heard nuthin.
I got an offer from Carvana and Vroom. But Carmax requires you to bring it in because it is to new. You have to text Carvana and ask for a manuel appraisal and you will get an offer. Here is my Offer for Maverick XL w/ CP360 2.0 Ecoboost.

Great times we live in. If you own a Maverick, you are in the drivers seat for a change. High gas prices and low inventory, it doesn't get any better than that for the owners, if you don't need the truck. Go make some money.
Love mine too much to sell it at any price, no don't even have it yet, but thru the months & months of searching and waiting???????? LOL

And replace it with what for what I paid?
Exactly.

The only way it makes sense is if you wait until you can order a new truck. Then you order the new truck, and continue to drive the one you have around until the replacement truck arrives.

At that point, you can sell your current truck if you can profit from it. And if you can't, you tell the dealer you changed your mind.

You have to hope that the used car market continues to stay ridiculously hot for the next year to 18 months.

I wouldn't count on it, given that used car prices have already started dropping and that people who want to buy a Maverick will be able to order one starting in August.

I plan to order a MY23 Maverick XLT Hybrid on 8/15 at the same dealer I bought my current one from.

I made the mistake of not getting a trailer hitch because who would have thought that a truck would not come with one. Because my order was scheduled so fast I was not able to add it.

The MY23 Maverick I plan to order will be almost exactly the same but I will drop the "Rear Sliding Window" as it really serves no purpose as it is way too small. I also plan to switch colors to "Eruption Green".

When I get a scheduled build date I will sell my current Maverick.

Current Carvana offer is $35,646 on 6/17/2022.

Previous offer(s) were $34,889 on 5/29, $32,974 on 5/6 and $31,196 on 4/13. Over the previous two months my used Maverick has increased in value by $4,450. Not bad for what usually is a depreciating asset when first driving off the lot.

XLT Hybrid + Co-Pilot360, Cabin 120V/400W outlet, Sliding Rear Window, Hard Drop-In Bedliner

MSRP price was $24,620 but I paid 1.8% under at $24,174. Total Out-the-Door price was $26,068 that included $1,551 in sales tax, $150 doc fee and $193 in other state fees.

So Carvana's current offer is $9,578 over my Out-the-Door price or $11,026 over MSRP. o_O

Well, I need the truck so if you don't need it don't buy it so I can get mine!

Fortunately l like my maverick a lot . if you sell at a profit don't forget you will have to report the profit on state and federal tax returns . it will be recorded at DMV when title is transferred .

It depends on when your truck was registered and how many miles are on it. I sold my first one, (Lariat Hybrid, Loaded) to the dealer and did well with it. I have another one now, XL Hybrid and I have a Tremor coming in in the next few weeks. Carvana gave that response to me, Carmax gave me an offer and it was good but not sure if I am going to sell either or both.

I sold mine today to Carvana for $35,290.00, which is $3000 more than I paid. Three weeks ago the offer was $31,000.00.

Sold 22 Lariat AWD 4k 360 with 3k miles after owning it a few month. $3k over msrp.
replaced it with hybrid maverick.
Eco is fun and fast
Hybrid is much slower and heavier but smoother than eco and great mileage

if gas stays relatively cheap eco is the winner in my world.
