Every once in awhile my I believe my camera that is in the overhead compartment with the interior lights, starts making a loud “clicking” sound and the radar detector that I hard wired into the interior lights does not turn on, I have not thought of trying to see if the interior lights work until after it stopped, I shut the truck off and wait for it to completely power off then restart it and that usually fixes it. I am pretty sure it is not the radar detector as I have connected it to the interior lighting. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem?

Uh, no.

It sounds 100% like the radar detector you wired in is too much added load for whatever circuit it's wired into.

Which interior lighting circuit? If you have it wired into the purple/white wire for the switch backlighting like many use for the auto-dimming mirror that circuit isn't truly 12v. Depending on dimming and day/night it can be as low as <7V and sometimes the BCM may shut down the circuit entirely at those low dimness if it doesn't like the accessory load.

Thank you, but it happens when the radar detector is not powered up.

Might be putting too much load on that circuit. Without a wiring diagram, it is hard to say for certain.
