But where is the update on the second "Under Hood Fire" recall.

A remedy was supposed to be available in October. That got pushed to November and now it is mid-December and still no idea what or when the recall will actually happen.

Interestingly (and fortunately, knock on wood) it doesn't seem like we're hearing anything about Maverick engines blowing up or catching fire. So maybe it's not the big worry many have made it out to be?

My thoughts exactly. It'll be 2 years next month for me and I'm still in awe of what a terrific vehicle it is.

Yeah, I’m waiting too.
Bought fire extinguishers for the truck.

From the NHTSA site:

My thoughts exactly. It'll be 2 years next month for me and I'm still in awe of what a terrific vehicle it is.

We love ours too, despite the 5 or 6 recalls.
