HELP with opinions: SEE pictures. Painting a BUG Deflector to match yes or no??

I bought a Rhino dark tinted bug deflector. I have not attached it because I don't like how it will make the front look. So I'm wondering if this part can ce painted to match the Avalanche Grey paint? I believe its made of Lexan. Take a look at the difference.

Yes, you can paint that to match. Scuff the lexan surface with steel wool, apply an adhesion promoter (Bulldog is my go-to), then prime and paint.

Tough question with your black door handles, which are like mine. I'd say if you had the paint matched door handles, definitely painted. But with the black handles, the black deflector looks good.

I like the black one on my white truck…kinda goes w the black trim everywhere else on the Mav.

I believe if you paint it, the durability of the finish on this piece will suffer. You should plan on repainting it periodically to maintain it's appearance. Especially if you're that worried about the cosmetics of it. Just my opinion.

It’s all personal preference, back in the day I usually bought a clear one and painted the backside to match (also helps with chipping). It is a nice custom touch since everyone can get a black one

I say paint it.
Too bad they don't sell the clear ones anymore.
Make sure you put couple coats clear.
If your not gonna color match it, you could always wrap it any color.
