An amusing revelation on my drive in to work today.

Yeah the Maverick is not an eye catcher. Interesting cause the size and MPG but looks like any other truck. Only ones you are going to get looks from are forum members.
And Santa Cruz orders, wishing they had made a different decision. 😊

I was in a bad wreck a couple years ago, the other driver didn't see me coming and pulled out in front of me. I T-boned him at 55 mph. My Civic did what it was supposed to do and I walked away from it. My Civic was silver and nearly the same color of the road.

That day I said that from now on I was going with a bright, loud color and DRL's to draw maximum attention to myself.

Now I ordered a stealth Cactus Gray Maverick. I'm actually a little nervous about the low visibility it will make on an overcast or rainy day.
If you ordered a Lariat trim level has Daytime Running Lights (accent LED lighting above the headlights), which should light up whenever the truck is on.

Also, I believe I saw at least one YouTube video reviewer who said the Maverick (perhaps the Lariat trim) has automatic headlights which come on whenever it is dark enough, and auto high-beams which turn on at highway speeds, and off automatically if there is an oncoming vehicle. (Although I don't believe I saw these mentioned in the features list on the configurator page.) I'm sure somebody in the MTC who already has their Maverick can let us know for sure...

Ditto.

Not too sure about that. I think most in this forum could afford a F150 but just don’t want a big truck. I’m in that boat. Just too big.
Plus I refuse to pay that much for any vehicle.
I have F150 money, but if I were inclined to spend that much money on something that gets that kind of gas mileage, I'd be driving an M2 Competition or something fun;)

That kind of money for an appliance just makes no sense to me. And a truck, any truck, is an appliance.

I got one (y) on the road and saw two strangers in a parking lot looking at it confused as to why anyone would buy this not-a-truck truck or something. Perfect!

Yes, the DRLs help with how it looks, they only light up when in drive or when parking lights are ON or when headlights are ON. Auto headlamps work like you said and auto high-beams turn on at all speeds if there is no vehicle detected, oncoming or otherwise.

I try not to bore people with it. But it occasionally comes up in conversation and I say, I've ordered a hybrid pick-up. Surprisingly, about half the time the response has been "oh, you're getting a Maverick?" Probably says more about the people that I choose to converse with than anything else 😆

and we are the ones that say to the appliance store...."Just put it in the back please, I don't have an SUV anymore, I have room".
DANG. I need my MAV. I need a freezer, my mav will have 10 tie downs but I didn't even look for the "power lift gate" option. Another reason to need the 7 pin trailer plug on the FWD HYBRID. DIY flex bed power lift gate for appliances, game ?
DIY rotisserie for hog, deer, calf, ?
Do the 4 pin hybrids have the same wiring harness to the rear as the Mavs that get the 7 pin? If so maybe plug&play for more amp invertor? Flex-Flex-Flex!

Most of us here on the forum are enamored with our little trucklettes. I know I am. I'm loving mine.
So as I'm driving in to work, my head's on a swivel looking out to see if anyone is checking out my new hooptie.
Whether at a stop light or just putting along, I guess I was expecting to be getting all this attention as if I was in a lime green Lambo. HA HA HA

So far, no one's given a second look and I started laughing to myself thinking what a spaz I am.
I figured it out, it's because it's not a HYBRID!

I could not afford an F150 nor would I want one if I could, if I want to drive a large truck the city near me is desperate for school bus drivers.

I live in a pretty nice west Houston suburb and this little truck gets lots of attention. Have shown it to a ton of random people asking me "what the hell is that thing?!" It's a perfect little truck so far 👍

Saw my first one 2 nights ago coming home from dinner. I chased it for a couple of miles to get right behind it in traffic. Followed it for another 2 miles til my wife called me a stalker and made me quit. Women!
Since you were able to post the info, I presume when she got a look at the driver she thought it was someone you did not know, yet. Glad she(?) did not smile and wave🤓

Same here, even the Hot Red Pepper doesn't make a difference. I figured people would point now and then. :ROFLMAO: At lunch today I over heard someone call their friend and tell them there was a Maverick there. I waited for the seeker to show up so he could look and sit in my truck. He ordered a hybrid in June when I ordered mine. His 2015 escape in "orange sunset" was pretty close in color.
