The A/C is amazing!BIGGEST impression after a week of ownership is the freaking air conditioning ROCKS. I was afraid rear passengers would be left wanting with no rear ac vents but it blows so strong that when in the back, I can even feel airflow from the side vents.
Use your FordPass pointsYES, the AC is amazing! Just remember to use the OEM Motorcraft cabin filter. The cheaper multi-layered, carbon filters are too thick and restrict airflow which reduces the efficiency of the AC system.
I agree, AC is very good. My son's 2008 Honda Civic alternator failed Sunday night on the Southern State parkway, Valley Stream, NY. It was so great waiting in the hybrid Mav for the AAA tow truck to arrive. Kept us cool waiting, my 6 year old granddaughter was a real trooperBIGGEST impression after a week of ownership is the freaking air conditioning ROCKS. I have an issue with my AC, but it doesn't keep it from working. I think the AC works extremely well also."...the freaking air conditioning ROCKS..."
Ceramic is the way......Very much a fan(no pun intended). I did put a 70% ceramic film on the windshield as well as 20% ceramic film on the front windows - both are simply fantastic at keeping heat out of the vehicle. Also think the vertical/small rear truck window does not allow a lot of direct sunlight in where a sedan or more aero vehicle has more windshield and rear window to heat up.
Combined with my Contractor White color....
I leave it on auto between 72-73 degrees, non-max AC, and it cools quickly, quietly, and will even use ASS with AC running.
All my vehicles have been “too much blow in low” use the vent and floor to reduce it…nothing wrong with cool feet…A/C is great. I will agree the increments don't seem to be much different. I wish low blew less. Always feels like it is blowing too hard. Better than not enough I guess.
Ha yea I have conditioned (pun intended) my son at a young age, as my old Hyundai stopped blowing cold air til the vehicle was going above 30 or 40mph lol.. today he told me he was cold and had the biggest smile on his faceI've been happy with it. Only people ever really in our back seat is kids who will complain either way and visiting friends or family who are just happy to be in Hawaii weather. But we do stay nice and cool in there. Though it is our first vehicle with AC not much to compare too lol.
Yes, I just got ceramic tint, the.. "block out 99% of ir rays" type.. wasn't sure how much of that was advertising and stretching words but today I had a chance to be in the Florida sun for a while.. I definitely felt a difference in the cabin temps.. once we get up to speed I can even set it to recirculate and ride around one the lowest fan settingVery much a fan(no pun intended).
