AM radio is still a good feature for emergency broadcasts. At my sister in laws place in Florida, I get horrible phone reception and almost no ability to text unless on the wifi. Maybe an add-on AM radio will be in the works.

I think it would be interesting to post an age at lrast a decade on years. Bet the older guys would miss the AM young no so much, For me, I think my kids will have to take the Maverick keys so I don't care.

The only things on AM radio are the oldies & hate radio, I do have 4 oldies AM stations in my area I listen to, if FM stations would play the same thing we wouldn't need the AM band anymore. It sure wouldn't be a deal breaker for buying a new vehicle though.

"Hate" radio? Just guessing, but would that be anything where views you don't agree with are actually allowed and generate surprisingly good ratings doing it? Good Grief Charlie Brown

Gosh, the only time I listen to music is in the truck(s) (Rangers and the Mav).
The last time, I listen to AM was at work about 25-30 years ago. When our boss at that time, made it mandatory to tune into the Brewers' games, weekday afternoons..
I can still hear Uecker say.... Get up, Get up, Get out of here...

A lot of AM bands have FM sister stations that broadcast the same content. I also listen to AM radio but my Mach-E doesn't come with an AM receiver just FM so I switched over to their FM station.

@OP it might be worth a look to see if the AM stations that you listen to also have a FM station that you could switch over to.

At least your just waiting for a vehicle from the company.... I work for a Ford dealership where( like all other Ford dealerships) we encounter the cousin of Tommy Boy at CEO wrecking a company that had been a global leader for over a century.... as for the AM radio, I have heard that about the new Mach-E and Lightning vehicles(I keep forgetting to check the couple we have in stock to verify this) but haven't heard it on any other lines......yet lol
