2024 Maverick: Having the truck 2 years, it is only lately in the last 3 months, that the air recirculation button turns off unexpectedly every day. No matter which air flow is chosen to the floor well, or dashboard, or windshield or any combination of - - - the recirculation button automatically turns off after a period of time. While I understand sometimes the recirculation mode does this to prevent fogging, I am unaware why during the first 20 months of owning the truck that this almost never occurred and now occurs every day. I check the air filter and its clean. Does anyone have any advice or opinions? Thanks in advance for any info.

certainly can't explain why all of a sudden. Had any software updates done recently? The manual does say it can/will change. 🤷‍♂️
"Note: Recirculated air may turn off automatically, or prevent you from switching on in all air flow modes except MAX A/C to reduce the risk of fogging. Recirculation may also turn on and off automatically in various air distribution control combinations to improve heating or cooling efficiency".

There's a humidity sensor in the cabin. If the humidity level gets too high, recirculation gets turned off.
Yes, you are correct sir. I also have a 24 Eco, and actually have noticed this phenomenon 👽 since I've had my Mav.

So because of the above info - you could have gotten some extra water in the cabin compared to prior years.

Check passenger footwell of course, but recently saw post about water in bin below back seat, from I believe taillight seal?

The HVAC has a mind of it's own, which is annoying AF. Recirc, AC, it thinks it knows better than the driver, just does what it wants, when it wants. One of the few stupid features on this truck. If the HVAC is not on auto mode, it needs to behave EXACTLY as it's set, period. Rant over. 🤬

Sadly - I'd warrant all these types of actions are based on stupid people doing stupid things and then blaming a vehicle and suing.

I have seen often enough the person that scraped the INSIDE of their windshield just enough to look out.

For there to be ice there - there had to be a buildup of humidity - which is easily because they kept recirc mode on to get it warmer after they got in with a load of snow on their shoes the day before.

Few of those money wasting lawsuits - and engineers are told to figure out a software solution for idiots.
