Is there one less expensive one available in the aftermarket or at least someone who offers a discount off the $65 that Ford wants?

Bolt Size is: M14 x 1.5

You can get a set of McGard locks for easily half that.
Can you provide a link?

Will these be the correct height for the Maverick?

I ask because the Lug Nuts were different sizes (one was longer) on our 2009 CR-V and 2015 Fit even though they were listed as exactly the same M12 x 1.5 19mm size.

These are the open style Ford is showing there: McGard 24019
1.639" might be long enough for a closed style: McGard 24515
Many thanks.

I guess I will wait for my Maverick to get delivered mid-December and measure the nut height or until someone on the forum does it.

They are probably manufactured by Gorilla Automotive Products or McGard.

Those look like cone-seat, open-ended wheel locks. Since GAP and McGard haven't updated their product catalogs yet, I'd just try either GAP 78641N or McGard 24019.

Personally, I like the GAP kits that replace all the lug nuts with a wheel lock. The cone-seat, open-ended, 14x1.5mm, 5-lug kit is GAP part number 78643N.

The McGard splinedrive kits are satisfyingly well machined. After doing some measuring figured out I needed a set for my aftermarket wheels. Got a good deal on a set for 8-lug wheels so I actually probably won't use the locks themselves. Also they're USA-made locally here in WNY and the chrome finish is warrantied which is a bonus for what a crapshoot aftermarket lugnuts can be.

Locking lug nuts are great if you are in a high theft area. The most important thing is DO NOT LOSE the key. or the key card that comes with them. The other thing is to know where the key is and know you have it when going to the tire store or dealer to rotate and balance the tires. Can't tell you how many times I couldn't remember where it was or forgot and drove all the way back home to get it.

I know this is common sense stuff but I never thought about it before going to the tire shop.

I purchased Mcgard locks 24215 which is what is shown on their site for our trucks, the thread diameter and pitch is correct but the cone is tiny compared to the stock lug nut. I'll call them....... Of course you have to cut the package apart to get them out......
