This one works for me because of the ease of removal and reinstallation. Some people don't like tri-folds because fully retracked they block the rear window. Doesn't matter to me, I can drive with side mirrors or take the cover off and lay in bed next to whatever I'm carrying.Im still thinking which cover should I get. Soft, hard tri fold, hard roll?
I bought the same cover, I don't have my truck yet { 2 weeks I hope} but wanted the cover when it came. I looked at a lot of covers, its 20% off now. I like the latching system the gasket has like 3 layers, everything comes on the cover I mean attached to cover, front and rear latches installs in minutes and comes off in less time. The material is very hi grade and has that big ford emblem in the middle of cover, I payed 456 with the 20 off and its definitely worth the 150 more than the extang tri fold, not to nock the extang its worth the 300 bucks fords tri fold is just a step above it and is better made. If you don't want to spend 1100/1200 bucks for a cover and don't need that extra security in the bed this is a great mid range cover and the best I think of the soft tri fold ups. One more quick comment on covers because I have had them all take a tip from a old guy the soft roll ups it gets very old unrolling the cover than having to walk around the bed and pull it tight every time you open it. The tri fold is one hand operation and is always tight.I just said the hell with it and bought the Ford Tri Fold that I took off the build to get it built. That Ford 15 ends tomorrow and I just wanted to get one on her truck. $559.00 minus $83.85 plus $25.00 state tax it came to $501.00 I guess I flat out wanted it now or at least soon and if there were issues just go back to my Ford Dealer or Ford Corp. anyone else put a tonneau cover from Ford on (the soft Tri-Fold for $559.00?) was it easy on and easy off And no cutting the sides to make it fit?
The Ford Tonneau Cover did great in our Maine Winter, snow, freezing rain and sub zero Temps.I bought the same cover, I don't have my truck yet { 2 weeks I hope} but wanted the cover when it came. I bought the pro 15 and mine was terribleThe pictures of the TruxTruex pro X15 seems to be a good fit the guy didn't have any complaints with that model
The pictures of the Txuxedo pro X15 that were posted looked great and he had no complaints about the fit. So I guess it's hit or miss on which model you buy!
Have the same one. Can confirm it's easy as hell to fully remove and seems pretty good. Along with looking great with the canvas material. Got it for 460 shipped.I couldn't be happier with the Truxedo Pro X15 soft roll up. It's a canvas type cover, not vinyl. There is only one release lever on the driver side to release the rear for rolling up. Cover can be completely removed by pulling one latch on both sides underneath by the cab. To close the tail gate the one latch release is simply pulled and it pops up, close the tail gate and it clicks back in easily. More than long enough to have a good seal on front and rear.
UPDATE its been a year and a half and the ford tri-fold looks new I scrubbed it once to get the dirt out of the textured cover , I don't open it much but works perfectly! There are a lot of covers out there now for the Mav there weren't when I got mine but not sorry I did get it. love the ford emblem in the cover. Also it could of been 1/2 to 3/4 " longer and it would of been better.I bought the same cover, I don't have my truck yet { 2 weeks I hope} but wanted the cover when it came.
