So it looks like IF this were to come to the US, someone like Metra or PAC to create what they have here in the mounting adapter. Next is the actual wiring integration, they did not show any steering wheel controls being used in the video so the question remains does volume, mute, and track adjustment from the steering wheel still work.

I love the idea of this, and I think there is a market for it however getting one of the aftermarket manufacturers to commit to making it.

I can't speak a bit of spanish, but I see it's an Alpine FX511. That led me here: https://www.crutchfield.com/S-VfZqwseZKGo/p_500ILXF511/Alpine-Halo11-iLX-F511.html

And then I see the iDatalink Maestro is what integrates, but Crutchfield says it's not compatible with the Maverick. But digging some more I find: https://www.idatalinkmaestro.com/en/products/maestro-rr2

Picking around through various Ford models, there is not a Maverick listed, but when I pick Mustang I do get an option for 8" Ford Connected Audio. That's the base Maverick system. :)

Someone with more time, money and skill than I have should try this. (y):D

I had my wife ask(in Spanish) if the stereo controls on the steering wheel still work.. Hope he replies. If so, I'll let everyone know.

Oh! Definitely need to know what integration module he's using.

I was just making an educated guess that it could be an iDatalink Maestro rr2.

I was so disappointed by trucks sound system after a few weeks of not using the truck, seriously a low trim 10yr old Prius with a stereo screen that lost its first layer due to delaminating so can’t be seen in daylight, sounds so flawless compared to Stock Maverick Radios drops, clicks and lower range rasps. I had gotten so used to the short comings over the past year.
When something like that is packaged with clear instructions I will be getting it!

The future is here! That’s what that screen was always meant to be! Love how they even created a mold to make it look as oem as possible. Also pretty happy I know Spanish right now cause I didn’t need a translator.

Very nice. Though, at least coming from someone who hasn’t had his yet and is excited about trying certain things, I’d really want that cubby hole. Reminds me of older vehicles I grew up with that sported near useless cubby trays near the hvac controls.

Wait wait wait wait a second here. Are you saying they put in a bigger dumb touch screen????? I was hoping for a CD player or something, even a Sony Xplod unit would be better than these look at me and not the road units.

I think it is too big. Looks like a tablet attached to the dash. I would prefer one that fit in the original space including the cubby. I like a unit that fits flush with a built in look. Not one that looks like something thrown together.

You have a point, but a bunch of factory vehicles look like this, or honestly even with a less-integrated look. Many do not have a well-integrated screen even though we're into our second decade of cars having displays like this.

Look at the new Expedition for example, or even the Escape's optional unit in these pics.
