Not to get too far off topic here, but since significant money is spent to subsidize the fossil fuel industry, we could reduce that subsidy and use that money to maintain roadways instead.
Likewise, while keeping this on topic, regarding vehicles and road maintenance, I think that electric vehicles are getting a free ride and there should be a way to get them to pay their fair share of road maintenance that the rest of us using gasoline and diesel are paying for.

And by the way, in regards to subsidies, to correct a widely spread falsehood, according to the nonpartisan Congressional Research Service and the Energy Information Administration, wind and solar alone received more taxpayer cash during the past 18 years than the oil, coal, and natural-gas sectors combined, despite producing only a fraction of the nation's energy.

Nearly two years ago I traded my 23 cyber orange, heavily modified Maverick for a 24 F150. Last month I sold my F150 and bought a nice 2012 Fusion that I was planning to drive for a while as it was paid for. I couldn’t live without all the tech we’ve all become used to. So yesterday, I purchased a 25 eruption green 2.0 awd XLT with black appearance package. This is the color I special ordered, but wound up with the F150. I work for a dealer so we found this one close by and did a dealer trade. The deal was too good to pass up and with ford special rates right now, it was cheap. So I’m back. Not sure what the future holds as far as mods. I am going to install my original leather wrapped wheel from my hybrid in this truck for sure though. The 2.0 feels very spry compared to my hybrid. My state charges too many extra fees for hybrid so I learned that lesson last time. Anyways, here it is. Glad to be back! Also, keeping that Fusion as a spare…it’s too good to let go.
