Another great reason in owning the Maverick. I can't but help wondering what people are thinking while barreling down the highway doing 70-80+ in their big pick-ups. Apparently, gas is not expensive enough.

You averaged 34.1 miles per hour. How fast do you drive on the highway?

That's interesting. I never looked at it that way.
Based on mine below, I averaged 38 MPH between oil change. But I noticed, that clock runs any time the Mav is in READY. It doesn't have to be moving.

610.5 miles divided by 17:53 = 34.1 mph. The clock resets when you reset the trip odometer doesn't it?

I just got home from spending 3 hours in my L2 2022 TRX which I traded my Raptor for in December. 11.1 mpg in the TRX today and I enjoyed every second of it. Had my Maverick out this morning running errands, 430 miles in 2 weeks and returning 43.6 mpg during that time. Really enjoy them both as daily drivers.

I’m sure it’s blast to drive but doesn’t seem like efficient way commute though . If can you afford over long haul with current state of gas prices more power to ya!

Efficient? My TRX is very efficient. After a good drive I come home relieved of stress, if don’t feel like I need to beat my dog or kick my wife, and the World seems just a little bit better if only for a few minutes. That’s what I call efficient.

I’ll be driving one of my non-daily drivers in the morning. They are even more “efficient” than my TRX... (y)

In a typical month (since early January) between Ohio and North Carolina I typically drive 1200-1300 miles with 70-80% on freeways at 73-74mph and I get a combined 36mpg at best. I’d certainly like to know how folks who are reporting 44mpg +/- with a similar driving profile are doing it, although I have noticed many of these reports come from warmer climates, which we are just entering at this point here.

I'm in N Central Texas and when it was cold back in February I was still getting 39 combined. I also didn't have my tonneau cover installed either! That cover made a huge difference
Had mine on since mid January when I got my truck so I don’t know what it would be like without one. Certainly not better. I’ve also noticed how painfully obvious it is that these trucklets have no aerodynamic nature whatsoever. Give me a 20mph headwind and it knocks about 2-3mpg off the top.

That clock has nothing to do with it
That clock has EVERYTHING to do with it.

Miles / run time = speed, and speed matters if you want to quote mileage. Here's some representative, round-trip data at seasonal extremes from my Escape's HF45 drivetrain. Maverick patterns should be similar.

My truck is on a train somewhere so my daily is my 17 Hyundai Tucson 1.6T. I drive almost all highway mileage in Texas and drove into a headwind last week. Took me from normal 27 mpg to 18 mpg.

It's not just the Mav.

I think the word, "efficient" was used more so in monetary terms rather than personal satisfaction. We live in a country where it is our privilege to purchase and drive whatever vehicle one wants. While I wouldn't necessarily agree with your decisions, I fully support your right to make those decisions.
