Additional (non-fob) key?

Anyone know which is the correct chipped-key blank (non-fob), and if it is correctly laser cut, will it at least open the door (manually) and tailgate even if it is not "paired"?

Just take it to a key/lock smith they maybe able help with the key blank.. however when I got a surf key key made for my Honda, I had to get it from Honda. Was about $40

My surf key doesn't set off the factory installed alarm when used.

The keys that would work are transponder keys that would be paired with the vehicle they just wouldn't have a fob... But what I was referring to in the original post was just something to unlock the door so I could get to my secondary key if the battery were dead or some reason the keypad on the outside didn't work or if you have an XL with no keypad

Use Ford Pass App to Lock/Unlock? Won’t work for an XL tailgate though.

Then you use the embedded key in the transmitter. At least that's what I would do with my Prius transmitter

I think (guessing?) I found the right key blank:

Part #: 164-R8128 (Strattec 5923293)
Contains a 4D-63 128 bit transponder chip.
Compatible with a variety of Ford vehicles manufactured between 2013-2022.

Next step will be to get one "laser cut" (?) to match my current key, and then ultimately paired to the Maverick.
