I disagree. I think the tailgate is the best part. I say go all out and do the roof, too. It looks Boss!

What happened to over the roof? Otherwise nice.Finally got around to cutting and installing some vinyl on my truck. Thinking I like it so far. How do you like it?

I was thinking the same. You dont think it would be too much. I guess i coukd always remove the roof later if i didnt like it. Not sure with all the bumps up there how it will look.

I have always thought the gold mustang GT-350H stripes would look good on a red vehicle. Hertz did have red mustangs not just black. I would have added them to my rapid red Maverick but they came from factory with hood and side stripes.
I think I would agree with other comments about adding the strips to the roof. Also on the tailgate, maybe go top to bottom with the strips instead of that void and then add black lettering inserts in the maverick letters?

Maybe really thin (3/16") stripes from where they end on tailgate to each of the letters which are white and then the 3/16" stripes to the big stripes on bottom of tailgate for your continuity?
