Accessory Power Timeout. Is there an adjustment.

I have a 2024 Lariat Hybrid. I just put in a dash cam. I noticed that it stays on quite a while after I turn the truck off even after I vacate the vehicle ( like 2 hours). I have also noticed other accessories, Bluetooth to Cell phone and radio will stay on after I select the car off for a certain amount of time if I do not vacate the vehicle. My question is how long will the accessorize plugs like the power supplies stay on after the truck is turned off, or the radio and bluetooth connection. Update I found out that Forscan controls this and I just found out that any adjustment with Forscan is covered under warranty. I am having my power supply timeout adjusted to 15 minutes at my Ford Dealership next week. I didn't know there was a 12,000 mile, 12 month warranty coverage for all this.

It will decrease if the battery state of charge gets lower than Ford's "fully charged" setting. The time can be changed to anything you would like with Forscan, but no menu settings that I know of.

Thx Howard!!. Mine is 2 Hours it seems. Here is the Forescan menu. That is on second page 9 lines down from top. Great info.

The radio pretty much always has power it just goes into an 'asleep' state, and you can wake it up without the key/PTS by pushing the power button. So it just has a separate 'simulated' Keep Alive Power Supply functionality like somewhat older Fords until you open the door then the BCM tells it that it can go to sleep. There is a real Keep Alive Power circuit supplying things like the rear power sliding window on Lariats.

Two other variations you should be aware of. The 110V AC outlet goes dead when the key is turned off and the USB port stays live for a time (perhaps as long as the 12V, but I haven't watched it) but it will go off when the door is opened.

I don't know who told you that, but I'd take it with a pretty big grain of salt. Arbitrarily modifying module code values wouldn't be a warranty covered item if you screw something up. Remember, FORScan is third-party software and isn't what a Ford service center uses.

Thx I am having Ford do the adjustment since it is free right now.

Ok, perhaps you mentioned Forscan and they said they can use their tool like Forscan to do it.

But if a tech themselves directly said Forscan and HE'd do it for you - than reread the comment you replied to - doesn't matter who uses it and does it.
Unless you can receive a work order stating exactly what was done and by who so you are still covered. A verbal "this won't ruin your warranty" is worthless 3 years down the road.

Menu
Settings
Vehicle
30 Min Max idle

It has to be unchecked after every start

Ford service would not do it. So I bought a power supply I could switch off. Cheap fix.
