I wanted to gauge interest before I went through the details...

Anyhow, there are two apps and a slight hack on github that accomplishes this.

I'm not a techie, so I don't fully understand the ins and outs, but Googling
GlucoDataHandler and
GlucoDataAuto
explains how to get this to work with Android Auto.

I'm running a new S26+ Android phone with those apps. They communicate with Android Auto as a Launcher item. The apps run as a player within AA.

Beyond that, I'm lost fully understanding it, but if you have something like SiriusXM as a player, you'll have to adjust some settings to make it the primary player to keep your music app working.

Read up on those Gluco apps. It works when set up properly, but if you don't like getting into the hack side of things, this probably isn't for you.

I can verify it works. Again, I'm very low-tech, but I was able to work it out.

Didn't mean to open a can of worms with my post, but I do agree diabetes can be managed, and I've both managed it, and let it slip.

For me, it's a combination of laziness, poorly eating on the run with my work schedule, and reaching a conclusion at 62 that I also want to live a little bit...while I can.

The salads, twigs, nuts, and berries thing gets old fast, and sometimes an open-face cheeseburger becomes a mission.

I, too, would like to see a full time fix, but even more, I'd love to know what started mine in 2014.

I suspect the answers are out there, it's just hard to come to a
concensus....which is fairly typical in the medical field.

In the meantime, it has been extremely helpful having that glucose reading in front of me as much as possible.

Being devil's advocate here. I hope you factored in a way to delete that information or prevent it from ever getting stored on the computer in the truck.
That's all I'm going to say about that.
And that's pretty neat.

Not worried. There's nothing there that doesn't already exist out in the world.

If someone finds my data interesting, they are desperate for one helluva boring life story!!

Beside, my standard phone & PC software would be more likely to share my boring life story with snoopers.

My wife has a dexcom 7. I use the follow app to keep track of her sugar. Would love to see that on screen. Hell I don't know why there is no official way for Android or apple to do this

Maybe you don't, but for me on long trips to my north Georgia cabin, it's a quick, easy reading telling me if I'm about to have a sugar crash, or I'm running too high prompting an insulin shot while my wife drives.

Anything to make diabetes management easier...

you type 2 I suppose,?I am,didn't really feel bad till I started on Metformin the only OTC stuff that I tried that would drop the number was berberine,now I hear it has issues( neat app)

Metformin and I do not get along. I'm fine with my insulin pump and Dexcom. Get my reading every 5 minutes on my phone and I administer my insulin with my phone as well.

We T1D folks are always looking for better ways to keep track of our blood glucose. I would like it because I'm always forgetting to check my stupid sugars.
