Folks, our life has changed drastically: no splitting time between MEX and USA, moved both sets of parents here to look after, and opened a shop on Jan 2026 to augment my waning consulting gigs.

The shop gig: Reparation, Restoration, Legalization, and Resell of Golf Carts. Many of them get full paint jobs and reupholstered. I decided to select 2022-2026 Maverick Truck Metallic Colors as the initial palette for my carts (spec builds and customs).

Here's a photo of a 2021 Yamaha Drive2 in Atlas Blue. Interesting fact: My first 3 custom carts were Yamaha Drive2s painted in Atlas Blue; by far the most popular color customers have chosen.

Here are two bonnets in Eruption Green and Hot Pepper Red that I just completed this week for 2 2020 Club Car Tempos (I'll assemble them on Monday).

Here are a few other colors waiting to be used, Azure Grey, Space White, Carbonized Grey:

I'll have a final 2020 Club Car Tempo, Smoked Bronze, inspired by the Bronco Sport, to show in a few days.

I would have liked to have been able to take credit for also painting another 2020 Club Car Temp Cactus Grey, but that's just the stock color of the dove grey surlyn plastic panel on fleet carts... but in certain light it could pass for cactus grey. LOL.

Once I finish these final 3 Tempos, I'm moving to a batch of older 2015 Club Car Precedents which will fill a gap in my product line to meet a price point that I can't meet at the moment. I have 8 of those Precedents coming, so I'll have: Eruption Green, Hot Pepper Red, Atlas Blue, Smoked Bronze, Azure Grey, Space White, Carbonized Grey and will add either CyberOrange or OrangeFury as the 8th color. I'm really looking forward to sharing the progress of those carts in a few weeks and will continue on this thread with them.

I am of the "Age", but am NOT a Hot weather person...
Wisconsin's temp variations are OK with me...

Found out that, these "carts" are the MAIN transport for areas in the US Southwest...
Nice that YOU are utilizing the Mavericks' color palette to good use.
Q. What is the TOP Speed on one of these... Carts.. 🤔

If they bring back Atlas Blue for 2027, I might be forced to upgrade. Otherwise, it's probably going to be any color you want, as long as it's Black,,,,

About 15 mph give or take a few, maybe a bit faster if you run bigger tire/wheels and goose the governor. Although in my experience on a sizable fleet of Club Cars the clutches really don't like much more than the stock RPM limit.

Otherwise, Club Cars especially the mid-90's to mid-oughts Carryalls are remarkably durable; we still have some from the 80's even. Yamahas also seem decent-ish although laid out a bit awkward. EZ-GOs I've seen looked way too cheaply engineered. John Deere Gators ride and vibrate rough (turns out solid mounting the similar Kawasaki as CC is a bad idea), and the steel body will fall apart from rust in a bit over a decade if you put them near salt or chlorine.

Alto blue? Not a current color but an original Mav color.
When I got my first batch in they were plain white. I was still preparing the office/shop etc... when folks would come in and see those 4 Yamahas. I never got them outside for display... Customers wanted them customized. When they asked what Blue I had, I showed them Atlas Blue, Velocity Blue, Alto Blue, and Azure Grey. 3 of my first 4 Yamaha buyers ordered Atlas Blue.

I literally have 7 colors in stock (quart sizes).. The 8th will be Cyber Orange or Orange Fury... and that depends on the cost of the paint.; they vary. I'll check pricing on Alto Blue... and if it's inexpensive, I'll offer it as a black alternative (I don't offer a black, just carbonate grey).

Do you have a website?
I ended up just getting a quick one up myself a few weeks back (was going to use a commercial web app, but they dropped the ball on everything and I cancelled the contract)... www.greenvalleygolfcars.com . I've got to get my current inventory into it and begin adding photos. I've just been so busy getting the building and carts done, that I've neglected the site.

Nice that YOU are utilizing the Mavericks' color palette to good use.

So I take small batches of Off-Lease Golf Course Fleet Carts and rebuild them and make them street legal. (I've only had my shop actually open since March 1st, so I've just done 3 batches of 4 so far with a nice batch of 8 more coming in a week.) I've also resold some other odd ones that I've bought at municipal auction, customer trades, estate sales, etc.. Anyway, these off lease fleet carts come hard speed locked at 12-14mph from the golf courses. Older customer trades (like an old TXT or DS) seem to be capable of about 16-18mph.

The major manufacturers of fleet carts (Yamaha-Serial Number specific Factory Code, ClubCar - Programmer&Code, and EZGO-3rd part chip) each have different mechanisms for unlocking. Basic unlocking gets you to 19.5mph (stock tires, stock controller, stock motor). A very minor lift, upsize of tires to 215/50 R12 gets you to about 22mph.. That's 90% of the 25mph speed limit, so good enough for most clients in my area. In my case, for Yamahas, I have an uncooperative dealer in my state (only 1 dealer in all of AZ), so I purchase a 3rd party Navitas controller (I get dealer pricing, otherwise that would be cost prohibitive), and set those carts to 28mph (That's 110% of the 25mph speed limit, so a little room for passing).
