I couldn't find A Ladder Rack that didn't require drilling holes.

So, I built my own using Unistrut and Unistrut brackets, you might not see it in the picture, but I used a 10-inch piece of 1 7/8 Unistrut with the 3/8 clips it works great.

That's pretty cool - I like that you can disassemble for storage. I looked at your design and thought about welding something like that up, but then you are stuck with bulky "monuments" that you have to figure out what to do with when they aren't on the truck!

This takes up just a small amount of room in the shed, the only ones I found at the time you had to drill holes in the bed, which would rust later this uses the existing rail system that comes with the truck and come winter time I can use the cover, one more point I used an inner tube for a bike and used rubber cement to put on the bottom of the brackets that touch the bed of the truck

I also have a soft roll up bed cover on it now...just roll it up to the back window when using the headache rack. Rack and bed extender is on or off in a couple minutes. Not real pretty but I only use the rack a few times a year.

Nice work! :) I take it you used the painted steel (green) Unistrut vs the galvanized plated type. I plan on doing something similar and will consider the possibility of something under the front bumper to support an additional front support/rail. This way I could haul a 20-24' extension ladder. We'll see once I get my Maverick!
