Got mine today...Anyone get an update? I got an email 10/31 saying they'd update every 45 days and haven't gotten anything. Happy holidays everyone!
I figured so. Also wonder why they would care if I cancelled. Couldn't they just keep the reservation and sell it off the lot? Krause Ford in Woodstock, GA if anyone knows this one. That dealership is lying to you through their teeth!! Ford doesn’t require a $500 deposit to order. It IS the dealership that required the deposit. I would go talk to the sales manager and tell him you want your deposit back. If he refuses, go up the chain and take it to the owner of the dealership if you have to. I ordered mine w/o a deposit. It the individual dealerships that decide if they want to collect a deposit or not.
Did you own a vehicle before the Maverick came out that you liked? So is it more of a "It's not you, its me" type of email? Or a "I think we should just be friends" type of message. Pretty sure ford is trying to keep their potential customers around, but never deliver on anything. So I am leaning towards the latter.....
If only Nissan, Toyota, Chevy etc could come out with anything comparable I would be at that dealer tomorrow......
I just got my "Dear" Maverick 45 update. No luck! Hurry up and wait! Sad!I have one order but got two of those 45 day emails six minutes apart. Does this mean they'll deliver me two Mavericks lol! I know I'll be very lucky to get one Hybrid XL.
A thought just came to me. You might have a better chance of getting two lumps of coal in your Christmas Stocking along with me. lolI have one order but got two of those 45 day emails six minutes apart. Does this mean they'll deliver me two Mavericks lol! I know I'll be very lucky to get one Hybrid XL.
Ford does NOT require a non-refundable deposit. I ordered two from two different dealers and neither one required more than a handshake.Ordered a Hybrid Lariat in September of 22. I've considered searching for one at a dealer because I need it for work and afraid it's going to take a year plus to get it. The only reason I don't is I gave them a $500 deposit. I asked the other day if it takes too long (8-12 months) and I want to cancel can I get my deposit back. They said that Ford required it and I cannot get my deposit back if I want to cancel. Guess I will wait. Anyone out there know how to get their deposit back if in the future I decide to cancel? I'm not complaining about the wait time. I get it, but just need it for work and my 4runner is costing me money with the 18mpgs.
