After 5 and a half months and 4,000 miles, I am very happy with my truck. The first 3,000 miles the truck averaged 28.2 miles per gallon using mostly normal mode. The next 1,000 miles it averaged 29.2 miles per gallon using eco mode. The last 455 miles after filling up today, it averaged 30.05 miles per gallon. I have adjusted the AFE bias to 954. The mpg is now accurate within a tenth. The truck handles and rides much better than my old 2010 Ranger. The longest trip I have taken so far is only about 75 miles. On long highway trips I believe this truck will get from 30 to 32 mpg. I have had only one recall for the taillights. Everything seems to be working as it should and I love the cactus gray color. For a base model XL, this truck rocks!

Same journey as you. From a 2010 Ranger to a Maverick. Similar fuel economy here in the WNC mountains too - 28.6 consistently for the last 28,000 miles. Cactus gray is a great color on the road. I've seen a few, and it really pops.

Nice to go over bumpy curves without axle hop, eh? My Ranger felt like a pogo stick as it chattered around bumpy curves at speed.

I went from 1996 Ranger to Maverick, with a Sport Trac in between. Only 1,600 miles so far. I use it primarily for hauling DIY supplies. Another vehicle does the non-truck trips. I'm averaging near 30mpg which is impressive since a non-trivial amount time it is in the Menards lumber yard!

i never use eco mode as i enjoy the pep of normal driving mode. i don't race around but the anemic feel of eco doesn't do it for me.

Wow a lot of post Ranger Owners..
Yes the ride is much better, the three Rangers, I OWNED. Though, the last one 2008 did ride good.
When i would take a trip with friends for a week, then come back to drive mine. A ɓuckboard was a good discription of the ride..

I am 634 days into my current ride NO Issues..
