not a big one or a tough one. I installed the rear door edge protectors. hardest part was peeling the tape off..lol simple install and wanted to do it before the furnace came on later today. looks good and will last forever because I dont really plan on using the doors that much, ex..taking my wife and daughter for ice cream. its my commuter primarily and 36.5 mpg on the first tank..I also have a very light foot...gives me more time to avoid a highway full of hurtling idiots trying to save 15 seconds instead of simply leaving earlier.

Would you say these help to reduce road noise? Or dust/debris getting into that gap?

What exactly are these protecting? What is the scenario where that part could be damaged and by what?

I would be afraid that whatever would have damaged the paint in that area will now deflect to the edge and chip it off. It does look good when the door is open but I rarely look at that area when putting something in the back. Maybe if you have small kids getting in and out or as I mentioned dogs with a leash that could scratch it up. I added Maxzina shock covers to the rear wheel wells. They do nothing but hide the shock but I like the look better. Same with these pieces they might just be cosmetic but that's okay.
