Update 2025 XLT to Smart Cruise?

My last vehicle had smart cruise control. This is the only option not available on my XLT that I actually miss. I'm wondering if it would be possible to add this. I'm sure IF I could locate a Lariat at a salvage yard I could get the sensors, mounts, wires to set it up. I'm not sure if there are any additional switches in the cab to control it. And the really big question in my mind is would the XLT recognize it when hooked up, or is the software different between the XLT and Lariat.

Yes it is possible, people on here have done it, you should be able to find the thread. It is a major amount of work. Adaptive cruise would be the search term.

I did find and scaned the DIY HOW TO post, which is excellent. I watched a video on ForScan and read a bit about it. I'm bummed there isn't a Linux version. I hate Windows, but I do have one older laptop with Win10 that I keep for such things.

I'll probably start by playing with ForScan for now. It seems like there is a lot of information on this forum about that.
