I haven't been active here because I just haven't had much to contribute lately so I didn't want to simply spam the forum. But I've hit the 2500 mile marker and had the truck for about seven months now so I wanted to provide a more long term outlook on the truck.
First, anyone who says it can't do truck things is full of it. Here's over 800 pounds of cat litter I hauled from a charitable organization's headquarters to a foster home.
I did some research just to see and a mid-size Ranger may have as little as 100 pounds more capacity than this "not real truck." And the full sized F-150 has some models that have a payload of 200 pounds LESS than a Maverick.
I also got 31.9 mpg hauling that load 22.7 miles and while it's not true off road, about a quarter of a mile of that was on a gravel road.
This truck continues to do what I bought it to do. It's reliable (no, I haven't taken it in for the recall repair yet) and I've had yet to have a problem that wasn't solved by myself quickly. These have typically been limited to a USB insertion problem if I've have my phone in while driving and Android auto going. Then I turn off the ignition, take care of something quickly and go back in. When I turn the ignition back on, I'll get that error. All I have to do to fix it is unplug the phone and plug it back in.
It's well worth the money I spent on this truck and I stand by my statement from the beginning. If you're looking for a work truck and you don't need an eight foot bed to haul the supplies you load up, this is a good truck for you.
