So recently in the past 2 weeks, my 24 Mav Hybrid started shaking and vibrating when accelerating around 50 to 60 mph. I brought into my local Ford dealership and they said there is an issue with some 24s that have what is is called axle wrap where it shakes when accelerating and stops when I let off the gas. They told me the only correction is to replace the axle. Has anyone been experiencing this? I also I just had the wheels and tires balanced so I know it's not that.

This ☝

OP: Numerous threads on shudder, CV axles, etc. A simple forum thread title search should give shittons of threads on this subject.

The axles or "half shafts" were designed poorly, and have been re-designed. They often fail after ~20k miles. Replacements are stronger and should hold up much longer. They are/should be covered in the 5/60 drivetrain warranty.

Hi,
I have the same thing in my 2024 around 35-45 mph in all trany modes except trailer and sport. Took it to the dealer who verified the problem, test drove other lot Mavericks. Conclusion is they all have it. Dealer said no error codes from the electronics, no problem and gave me back my truck. Some people have replaced the CV joints with success. I am following up with Ford corporate, this is not right. I worry about the longevity of my transmission.

Ok thanks but I still post it so who cares. Also also I've been on this forum since I ordered my Maverick back in 22. I did do a search and tons of stuff came up so I figured I'd just post something. If it bothers you that bad just scroll along and don't worry about it

I have a 2023 hybrid. I had the same symptoms with shuddering when accelerating. I replaced my CV axles at 19k miles. It started doing the same thing again, but it's just past warranty. The dealer is replacing both axles as I type. Not happy.

Started having this issue about a week and a half ago it is currently at the dealership. They said that my tires need to be rebalanced $120 for all four they said that if they’re still shaking after balancing the tires they will look deeper into it

Tell them you want the cost of balancing reversed or 100% of it applied to the cost of actual repairs since that probably isn't the reason.
Already sent them a message and spoke to them on the phone saying that. Thank you for the back up! 🫡

Update they did not charge me for the balancing of the tires because they could not test whether or not that fix the issue as where I am is rural and it’s very hard to get up to speed in certain areas where the dealership is so they told me to call back if I have any issues. I called back. I have issues. They haven’t called me back yet. I already sent to them that it might be the CV axles, but no one has acknowledged it yet.

And many here say “awe it’s not the dealers fault “, Wake up people, Ford Corporate and its dealers are getting worse, day by day! They make up way too many excuses for shit they don’t have a clue about or don’t understand cause they have idiots (mostly) working in the ‘let’s try and fix it’ garage!!! Let the 🔥’s begin!

Went back in person as my dealer did not call me back after leaving a message with them. Spoke to the service manager and he said that Ford is aware of an issue but wants tires to be balanced first instead of checking for CV axle issues. They will get my car next week and after I provided them a video of my car shaking at 55 mph consistently he said no problem we’ll take care of it.
