I see no wrong in allowing your son to drive you to the airport and for someone to criticize that without knowing the back story is not right. Perhaps this was your way of instilling much needed confidence in him. The real story here is that no one was injured. The Maverick can be repaired and I congratulate you for flipping this into an educational video that can benefit many others.

Sorry, It's fun to troll Youtubers and their fuzzy logic. They are here on MTC to make a buck, that's it.

Funny thing is there was just a big car wreck right outside my house, an hour ago. Crazy. My neighbor slammed into a SUV full of elderly people. No bull, cops came, ambulance, tow trucks, whole 9. Totally his fault and I did not support him either. Guy drives like a maniac!

Excuse me, I'm going to clean up the extra glass instead of making a Youtube video about a flat tire...

Id rather they were deleted on the Maverick in a different way hahahahaha. They do help with a hybrid more than a total ice engine to help get to temp.

Besides, I always take a cab to the airport. It's a mess out there in traffic, why risk your family running shuttle? Habib can handle that liability.

Well maybe if you watched more then the first minute ...... - that would be like me saying I only read the first part of your post where you are dumbfounded where a company would buy THE LEAST EXPENSIVE truck made with the best gas mileage for running service calls. The Maverick is not a Mclaren 720s so I am able to afford full coverage insurance in case it gets totaled believe it or not. Your statement - "My employees would be driving 'old ass cars, not new ones" Brilliant !!!! That is totally how you attract folks to work for a company and one should also make sure there isnt money wasted on air conditioning either and AM only radios. Screw employee retention.

Id also say that I doubt you even watched the first minute otherwise you would have known that the reason this "DIY hotshot " had his employee drive me to the airport ( which I would argue your comment - "people put their vehicles in obviously dangerous situations just to make content" is illogical - people Ill bet have all over the country driven their Mavericks to the airport without facing peril )

The employee is also my son. The same son I have walked thru addiction, court cases, bail outs, re-arrests, recovery, thousands and thousands of dollars spent on lawyers, rehab, and other vehicles seized thru police actions and then as a reward for how well he is doing after a few years later I got him a Maverick to drive in my business ( as well as giving him a good paying job ) . Due to the fact the Maverick was basically a reward after a long journey by his mother and I, I didn't feel bad asking him to drive myself and his mother to the airport since I pay for the truck, fuel, insurance, and maintenance, and yes, I did think he could certainly drive better than he did on that drive.

Rather than cancel our trip to Italy with two other couples which had been planned for 8 months to "pull the keys right then and there" I figured I would deal with it when we got back. Sometimes when we assume things we look pretty ignorant. If you watched till the end you would have also seen the truck with the front end off as well as the damaged parts - which I have to come clean , just like you said - " this could easily be a fictional video, IMO" I took it apart, smashed the radiator, condenser, grill and assorted other parts only to "make content" - I am ashamed you have me 100% figured out. Maybe someday I can do better and become " just a regular guy" like yourself..........

Ok fine, sorry. I watched it fully this time and it was pretty darn good. Tough situation and been there myself. Not that much damage, really. The accident in front of my house today was way worse I'd say.

You seem like a seasoned expert sir, not a diy joe like me. I actually learned a lot about the Mav from this video, so thank you. I hoping to wrench on it as well...just way in the future. Next vid: Redneck Garage saves the XL! Better than new?!?

Really that sorry? I only watched the first minute. It would be a cold day in hell if someone beyond myself was behind the wheel of my new Maverick. And why he didn't pull the keys right then and there is beyond me. My employees would be driving 'old ass cars, not new ones.

When I get a Lyft to the airport, I have no liability for that crappy drive. I'm just a regular guy, but I don't need an "employee" to drive me to the airport. It's called Uber. It's like the guy is that big of a DIY hotshot, he has dedicated employees to drive him. Not impressed when people put their vehicles in obviously dangerous situations just to make content.

Also, this could easily be a fictional video, IMO.

I almost ordered Cactus Grey, but I'm sure glad I didn't. Drove by one recently on a cloudy day, looked like a rolling pile of baby crap. I threw up a bit in my mouth. If your Hawk shit all over my Mav and I buffed it in nice, I would have Cactus Green too. Nice to know I can still make the color change...
