I just got a 2025 XL Hybrud and am looking to upgrade speakers as well. I thought about doing 5 channel amp and a sub, but truth be told I think that is more than I need. I just want an upgrade from the (correctly put) abysmal factory speakers. Google AI said something about not exceeding 350 watts total on the hybrid, and truth be told, I don’t want to do anything to allow the dealer to deny a claim on the infotainment system if they see an aftermarket amp on there (I have 6 year/75k warranty and I just know more costly repairs would happen to the tech than the machinery)…replacing speakers is nothing. Did you replace yourself? Any tips to share? Thx
Not a thing.

Well. This has come up before. One source is Crutchfield, and they say something to that effect in multiple places.

I’m not saying they’re correct, just that there is precedent…

So if they spout the wrong thing multiple times it must be right? The Ford service manual quotes the max output of the DC-DC converter as 265 amps. The Ford Vehicle Modifiers Guide suggests typical vehicle load of 95-110 amps. So there's about 150 amps (or over 1850 watts) of output available.

Yes, did them myself. Best advice is to watch a YouTube video on how to take the door skins and rear pillar pieces off so you don't break any clips. I'd also add some sound deadening to the door because they rattle quite a bit even with the stock speakers.
