If you don't want to deep dive into the past experiences of everyone who waited months or years, your truck will be scheduled based on:

1. Allocations: The more Mavs your dealer sold in the past years, they more will be produced for them each month. They need an allocation this month for Ford to schedule a build for them this month.
2. Parts: Does Ford have the parts to build your exact truck? If not, they will move on to schedule another order at your dealer and circle back next month.
3. Priority Code: If there is an identical truck on order from your dealer with a higher (numerically lower) priority, that will get scheduled first.
4. Fate: Random treachery and unknown forces.
5. Upfitting: Some items are added after production like spray-in bedliners. This requires it being produced first, then taken to an upfitter, put into their schedule, completed and returned to Ford for shipping. This can take some time.
6. Recalls: There were some times when huge numbers of trucks were held for recall completion before shipment. This added several months for some.
7. Shipment: This takes 1-300 days and there is no way to know.

I haven't received anything either. Have you contacted Ford? I did and my order is there. As soon as the scheduling starts, my wait begins.

I went to my dealership a few weeks back to place my order. As soon as I got home I checked my email and had the order confirmation from Ford!

I don’t know John, but you’re in good hands especially if you qualify for Z plan.

This is what the sales manger sent me in a text when I asked …” When you say DORA, do you mean the updated build sheet showing it is submitted? They used to fax the DORAs to us but they stopped doing that like 5+ years ago”….. so not sure what’s up with that

yeah DORA is just the build sheet they have you sign. That’s just relic language.

FYI... So that you are not wondering why, you will be a Build 2, Lobo being the only order you can put in right now that will default to Build 2. They won't start scheduling until November for January build dates.

As far as the person placing a Lariat order, if you want the Pro Trailer Assist & Hitch Assist, you will need to wait until Build 2 which does not start taking orders until November for build dates probably in January

They are still called a DORA. The only thing that has changed is that they stopped automatically printing them about a year ago. They are still generated as they have always been, but are not printed automatically anymore. There are still people at the dealership that can log in and print one for the customer. Or PDF it and email it, etc....

I did end up getting mine . Ford use to send them automatically to the dealer . Mine was emailed to me by the dealer when ford acknowledged my order
