2025 Lariat front camera behaviour

Hey everyone. I picked up my Mav at the end of January, 2025 Lariat. When pulling into my garage, having only a few inches to spare in front and behind me, the front camera would turn on when I was pulling in showing me exactly where I was. It was great! However at some point over the last month it has stopped doing that, now I just get a white splash screen showing me that the front sensors 'sense' something. I can still press the camera button and it will bring up the front camera by default, but the behaviour change is weird and a definite downgrade over how it functioned before. I had it in last week for a recall for the passenger airbag light, and had them look at it. There was a code (I suspect for the GPS/modem as that had quit on me on... day 3 of ownership?), but they tried a reset and ultimately it didn't fix the camera issue but did fix the modem and GPS issue which I wasn't particularly hurt over. Anyone one else experience this? Any insight on what I can try or have the dealership look at to correct it?

I got a front camera in my BS BL it works flawless, I don't have it in my 2024 Lariat Tremor tho

Funny, my 2025 Lariat’s front camera doesn’t project on my screen until I’m 2 feet away from hitting something. I’m grateful that Ford added the front camera on the 2025s (my ‘23 didn’t have it) but between Greener’s issue and mine, no bueno. I had Ford look at it two months ago and they said the camera works as it should.

I’m gonna take it back to ford and have them take another look at it. The issue is intermittent, coming home this evening and the camera turned on again like it should with no issues. I would say when it was working properly it was a few feet away when it would turn on, but as I mentioned in my first post the majority of the time the last month or so it’s stopped turning the camera on at all and just a splash screen across the Apple car play that says the sensors are blinking, useful, but far less so. All the tech is neat but somedays it makes me want to pull my hair out!

I’m also unsatisfied by the amount of time the front cameras stay on. When you parallel park, you want the front camera on when moving forwards.
Hopefully this is something they can fix with an OTA update.

@123… When you are flying into a limited parking spot in SoCal I don’t have the luxury of stopping my truck and turning on the front camera, although it is an option.

I see your point.

But if you need the front camera, that means you've already backed into the spot and you're stopped ... and when you reach down to shift into Drive, the camera button is right on your hand's path back from the shifter. Maybe it's just a matter of developing the muscle memory but I use the button quite a bit and I think the location is ok

PS I really like how they've programmed the camera button to behave when driving forward: at parking speeds it shows the front camera, but when you're going faster than a few MPH it shows the rear camera. That's exactly how I want it
