My 2025 EB XLT had its fuel pump replaced at 4xxx miles by the dealership. They had some difficulty diagnosing the problem finally settling on the fuel pump.
It has pushbutton start. The engine would crank over, but come to life in a hesitant manner. Like a fuel issue. Several times it refused to start after numerous attempts before finally starting.
Now at 6xxx miles same thing.
Yesterday when I pressed start button it didnt start, and continued trying to start after I released the button. It stopped only after I pressed the button again. Then, it started. The engine runs great, only problem is starting it up!
I live 3 hours from a Ford dealer so looking for ideas before calling them. Anybody had this issue!

I understand that the closest Ford dealership is 3 hours away.
BUT!!
From a warranty standpoint, I wouldn't touch it, not on a 2025.
You don't want to leave Ford any reason to disavow warranty claim because of owner intervention.
Just saying.

Just for curiousity, have you tried remote start through the app or key fob? I think there's a key option under center storage area too

Let me be more clear, I am not going to attempt repairs myself!
I dont even change oil myself anymore. Just checking to see if anyone else has had the problem. I will try using the remote start and key start next time. That was a good suggestion.
Also, I never drive it without disabling start/stop.

Update:
Maverick has been diagnosed with faulty high pressure fuel pump and its on order. The low pressure pump was replaced a few months ago but the starting problem returned shortly afterward, if it ever went away.
That warranty work was performed at the dealer in MO where I bought it.

Northstar Ford in Duluth, Mn diagnosed the hi presssure in just a couple hours. We hope this is the fix!
BTW, I do very much like my mav. Pulls the scamp camper with ease, Gets 32mpg on my rural roads and is comfortable. And I can reach into the bed without a ladder.

Looks like it's fixed, after 13 more days in the shop.
High pressure fuel pump. Now, I can get on with summer.

This new 2025 EB now has Port (low pressure) and Direct (high pressure) injection fuel pumps - previously only high pressure Direct?

Buying the first year of a new engine is a gamble that was in the back of my mind when I bought a 2025. Scotty K would call me stupid but oh well.
