I had same problem.
First dealership replaced the fuel pump but were not confident they fixed it. They didnt.
Second service dept diagnosed it in an hour or two. It was the " other" fuel pump. A hi pressure pump. Been starting perfect for weeks.
13' Scamp camper or an Aluma 5x8 utility trailer loaded with anything from 1/3 cord firewood to a motorcycle.
18- 24 mpg typical. Nowhere near the 4k limit.
Update:
Maverick has been diagnosed with faulty high pressure fuel pump and its on order. The low pressure pump was replaced a few months ago but the starting problem returned shortly afterward, if it ever went away.
That warranty work was performed at the dealer in MO where I bought it...

I dont even change oil myself anymore. Just checking to see if anyone else has had the problem. I will try using the remote start and key start next time. That was a good suggestion.
Also, I never drive it without disabling...
My 2025 EB XLT had its fuel pump replaced at 4xxx miles by the dealership. They had some difficulty diagnosing the problem finally settling on the fuel pump.
It has pushbutton start. The engine would crank over, but come to life in a hesitant manner. Like a fuel issue. Several times it refused...
